The Republican candidates for the presidential primary will square off Thursday evening in a televised debate. Fox News Channel will carry and host the debate in Iowa. Analysts seem to agree that contenders will have a unique challenge in distinguishing themselves from the pack while also denouncing the current administration.
Noticeably absent will be Rick Perry, Texas’ governor. Perry has not yet entered the race, even though all signs point to him doing so this weekend. He consistently ranks 2nd in polling to Romney even without having declared.
